Collection: Junlaholaan

Junlaholaan (จุลโหฬาร) is a Thai folk-fusion band from Sakon Nakhon in northeastern Thailand, known for blending traditional Isan sounds with contemporary folk, pop, and rock. Their distinctive style brings together traditional instruments such as the phin and khaen with guitar, bass, and drums, alongside vocals influenced by luk thung and mor lam traditions.

The band’s core members are Kae Dianya on vocals, Alongkot “Yua” Charoentham on guitar, and Natthapong “Pae” Napong on phin and khaen.

Junlaholaan originally began as an acoustic folk group, performing cover songs in their own Isan-inspired style. Over time, they began creating original material and developed a more distinctive musical identity as traditional Isan instruments became a central part of their sound.

Their music reflects the culture and everyday life of northeastern Thailand while presenting it through a contemporary musical language that connects with younger audiences. Songs such as “วงโคจร (Wong Kho Chon),” “เด้ออ้ายเด้อ (Der Ai Der),” and their self-titled song “จุลโหฬาร (Junlaholaan)” helped establish the band’s identity and brought them wider recognition through online platforms and live performances.

After releasing their first EP in the late 2010s, Junlaholaan began performing extensively across Thailand and at major music events. They have developed a reputation for energetic live performances and a sound that bridges traditional Isan roots with contemporary Thai independent music.

Junlaholaan’s work represents a modern interpretation of northeastern Thai musical heritage while preserving the sincerity, local character, and cultural roots at the heart of their music.
